Lynbrook High School students showed their college readiness as a total of 81 students from the class of 2017, 2018 and 2019, earned the designation of Advanced Placement Scholar. The College Board awards this distinction to students with exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement exams. 

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on a student’s performance on AP exams. A total of 18 students were named AP Scholars with Distinction, 21 were named AP Scholars with Honor and 42 were recognized as AP Scholars.

To earn the status of an AP Scholar with Distinction, a student must receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. Those recognized as AP Scholars with Honor must earn an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. The AP Scholar Award is earned by students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.
