DISTRICT BUDGET VOTE: MAY 16
The Lynbrook School District will hold its annual budget vote and election of Board of Education trustees on Tuesday, May 16. Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Lynbrook North Middle School, Lynbrook South Middle School and Lynbrook High School.

Any person who voted in a school district election during the 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016 calendar years is eligible to vote, as is anyone who voted in a general election in Nassau County at least once during the last four years. Any person who registers in the office of the District Clerk, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., up to and including May 10 is also eligible to vote.

Voter registration will take place on Wednesday, May 10, from 3-7 p.m. at Lynbrook North Middle School and Lynbrook South Middle School and from 12-9 p.m. at Lynbrook High School.

Pursuant to Section 2018-a of the Education Law of the State of New York, absentee ballots may be cast for the election of members of the Board of Education and budget. Information pertaining to applications for absentee ballots may be obtained by calling the District Clerk's office at 516-887-6558. An application for an absentee ballot must be received by the District Clerk at least seven days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election if the ballot is to be issued to the voter in person. Absentee ballot applications are available in the District Clerk's office, 111 Atlantic Ave., Lynbrook.

Contact the District Clerk's office any school day between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 516-887-6558 for information pertaining to voter registration.
