Lynbrook Public Schools Voter Registration Information

Who Is Eligible to Vote?
1. Any person who voted at a school district election any time during the 2013, 2014, 2015, or 2016 calendar years.
2. Any person registered to vote in any general election in Nassau County, who has voted at least once during the last four years.
3. Any person who registers with the district clerk, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., up to and including May 10, 2017, or who registers with the Board of Registration of the Lynbrook Union Free School District on the registration day to be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 12-9 p.m. at Lynbrook High School or 3-7 p.m. at Lynbrook North and South Middle Schools.

Are You Registered?
If you are uncertain as to whether you are registered in the school district and eligible to vote, call the district clerk at 516-887-6558 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
If you are uncertain as to whether you are registered for general elections, call the Board of Elections in Mineola at 516-571-2411.

Do You Need an Absentee Ballot?
Pursuant to Section 2018-a of the Education Law of the State of New York, absentee ballots may be cast for the election of members of the Board of Education and budget. Information pertaining to applications for absentee ballots for the district election to be held on May 16, 2017 may be obtained by calling the district clerk at 516-887-6558. An application for an absentee ballot must be received by the District Clerk at least seven days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election if the ballot is to be issued to the voter in person. Absentee ballot applications are available in the District Clerk’s office.
