The Coronavirus Crisis necessitated the closing of Lynbrook Public Schools. The district is working diligently to provide distance learning opportunities for all the students. Please read the letter for additional detail on Lynbrook's remote instruction plan. Remember to visit the site frequently, as information may be updated.

Academic Activities

Elementary students will engage with valuable content provided by their teachers. Please select the grade level for your child(ren) to participate in our Remote Learning activities.

Additional Academic Support

Beginning Monday, April 20th, we will be providing additional academic support for our students.  The students will be able to use Flipgrid to ask questions.  After reviewing the question, a staff member will respond to each student.  This learning opportunity will be available between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Middle School Activities

During the school closure, instruction will take place utilizing the one-to-one computers. Each teacher has communication tools (OneNote, Edmodo, etc.) available to them through which lessons will be conducted. The teachers will use these tools to share engaging content with the students and the students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their learning.

High School Activities

While Lynbrook Senior High School is closed, your child’s teachers will be available to support student learning. Teachers are prepared to deliver instruction using communication models familiar to students. Teachers will select from the following:

  • Microsoft OneNote
  • Edmodo
  • Websites (Castle Learning, Discovery Learning, etc.)
  • Emailed materials
  • Video recorded lessons

One to World Student Tablet Damage Report Grades 6-12

In the event your district-issued tablet is damaged, please use the following procedures on the document "Dropping off One to One Device in need of Repair." Before dropping off device, please complete "Student Drop-off Form." Device drop-off and pickup will be available on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00AM to 12:00PM (noon) throughout the duration of the school closure.
