Marianne Healy, current interim principal at North Middle School in the Lynbrook Public School District, will continue her role as the school’s principal effective July 1.

Mrs. Healy has served as the interim principal since January of this year and has been doing a great job communicating with families, staff and students and has helped move North Middle forward over the second half of the school year. Mrs. Healy was a 6th grade English teacher and the teacher in charge at North Middle before serving as the interim principal. Prior to Lynbrook, Mrs. Healy taught English at Wantagh Middle and High School. Since 2006, she has taught at South Middle, Lynbrook High School and finally North Middle School in the Lynbrook Schools. She has also taught at Our Lady of Peace in Lynbrook, Mineola High School and Junior High School 231Q in Springfield Gardens.

Mrs. Healy received a bachelor’s degree in English at Queens College and a master’s degree in education from C.W. Post University. She received an administration certification from Dowling College.
