Lynbrook High School’s Virtual Enterprise class went on a field trip to the New York Stock Exchange on April 17. They brought quarter zips for the occasion, for which they received many compliments from staff. Staff asked how they could purchase one for themselves. A popup store is now open and will close on Friday, April 26. Here is the link: WHITE SPORTS TEK 1/4 ZIP DRI FIT – YOUR LOGO ON STUFF [https://lynbrookswag.com/products/white-sports-tek-1-4-zip-dri-fit] (lynbrookswag.com). Fifteen percent of sales will be donated to the Virtual Enterprise Club.

The New York Stock Exchange is the central clearing house for equity trading in America. Individual ownership of companies is at the heart of capitalism and NYSE is where buyers and sellers of shares in companies have met to trade stocks for over 200 years. Students learned about the job of a stockbroker and how to pursue a career in the field, along with experiencing the atmosphere of the trading floor with guidance from Michael Pistillo Jr. from GTS.
