Remote Learning Quick Start Guide
In the event buildings in Lynbrook Public Schools close, here are a few key steps to help your students participate effectively in remote instruction with their classmates.
Students should
- Please arrive online at the scheduled time.
- Go to your class learning management platform using the strategy taught by your classroom teacher, either through ClassLink or by going directly to the LMS website. (Links appear below.)
- On the SeeSaw or Schoology page, find the link to the Microsoft Teams meeting.
- Demonstrate appropriate behaviors while engaging with the teacher and peers.
Reminder: Use your district credentials when signing into ClassLink, SeeSaw, Schoology, or Microsoft Teams.
Suggestions for a successful Microsoft Teams session
- Provide a quiet location with few distractions (siblings, pets, televisions, cellphones).
- Reduce use of other web-enabled devices in the home to preserve available bandwidth.
- Avoid sitting in front of windows or bright sources of light.
- Keep your microphone muted until the teacher requests otherwise.
- Keep the camera on throughout the lesson.
- Parents and siblings should avoid being within range of the camera and microphone.
