Lynbrook wrestlers crowned in Nassau County Tournament
This weekend, the Lynbrook Wrestling Team competed in the Nassau County Wrestling Tournament held at the David S. Mack Sports Complex at Hofstra. Lynbrook crowned three All County wrestlers, Gabriel Taveras (157 pounds), Fabian Vanegas (215 pounds), and RJ Tinyes (285 pounds). The highlight of the tournament was junior RJ Tinyes, who qualified for the New York State Wrestling Tournament in Albany. Lynbrook placed 11th out of 41 teams at the tournament this weekend.
Congratulations to all the wrestlers, and a special congratulations and good luck to RJ Tinyes for qualifying for the NYS state wrestling championships.
