Horizon Editors-in-Chief Jackson Bowler and Sophia Woods, along with advisor Jessica Sanders, had the honor of attending the Press Club of Long Island Media Awards at Fox Hollow on June 4. 

This is the second year Horizon has participated in the competition organized by PCLI, an organization of professional journalists from across the island. While most of the awards were for professional journalists, there were some categories available to high school and college students. 

Their wins include:
First Place to the Horizon Staff for Best High School News Website
Third Place to the Horizon Staff for Best High School Newspaper
Second Place to Lily Sloan ('27) for High School Reporter of the Year - Narrative”

The final print edition of Horizon is being distributed this week - keep an eye out! Additionally, a few members of the staff have been working closely with members of the PTA to finalize the Horizon Junior edition, which is a collaboration with elementary school students.
