Elected by and serving the Lynbrook community
The Lynbrook Board of Education is a seven-member body elected by the residents of the Lynbrook Union Free School District. Trustees serve three-year terms, with elections held each year on the third Tuesday in May. A student member also serves on the Board in an ex officio role.

Speaking at a Board Meeting
The Board meets monthly on the dates listed in the district calendar, and community members may address the Board during the Public Comment portion of each meeting. Speakers are asked to state their name and whether they are a Lynbrook resident. To protect privacy, the Board cannot discuss personnel matters or individual students in public session.
Contacting the Board
Email BOE@lynbrookschools.org, call 516-887-6558, or write to the Board of Education, 111 Atlantic Avenue, Lynbrook, NY 11563. Please include your full name and address. Because the Board acts as a body and meets monthly, responses may take some time.
For questions about a specific class or student, families are encouraged to start with the teacher and then the building principal, who can usually help most quickly.
